Truro City are back in pre-season action after a rest period of eight days, when John Askey’s side travel across the Tamar to face familiar Devon foes Tavistock tomorrow (Saturday) – 3.00pm.

The Langsford Park clash is City’s third of pre-season and with the side currently unbeaten after wins over Torpoint Athletic (6-0) and Willand Rovers (4-1), another victory for Askey’s charges will build further momentum, ahead of the league opener against Dorking Wanderers on August 10.

For Tavistock, this match against the Tinners is their seventh of a hectic pre-season schedule and their third this week alone.

Stuart Henderson’s troops also played Plymouth Parkway last Sunday and picked up an impressive 4-1 win over the Step Three side. Then, on Tuesday evening, our divisional rivals Torquay United visited Langsford Park and prevailed 4-0.

And just 24-hours later, Henderson’s side were back in action again, picking up an emphatic 7-3 win over Okehampton Argyle.
