Truro City start a run of consecutive away matches with a trip to Kent as John Askey’s side face Maidstone United.
The Tinners will be looking to bounce back from last Saturday’s narrow 2-1 reverse at the hands of Dorking Wanderers, as football final came home for Truro.
Jimmy Muitt headed Dorking in front early in the piece before Tyler Harvey made history, by becoming the first Truro player to score at the new stadium, when he fired home in trademark fashion after 30 minutes.
And despite dominating the rest of opening stanza, Dorking started the second period well and after just three minutes, Charlie Carter finished inside the area for what turned out to be the winning goal.
In Opposition
Maidstone etched themselves into FA Cup folklore last term as George Elokobi’s side made it all the way to the fifth round, before bowing out to Championship side Coventry City.
Their round four tie was perhaps the greatest moment in the club’s history (either before or after they reformed) when they defeated now Premier League side Ipswich Town 2-1 at Portman Road.
To put that win into context, the Tractor Boys face Liverpool in the top flight today, before City tackle the Stones.
On the opening day, Maidstone travelled to St Albans City and left it late, but prevailed 1-0 thanks to Temi Eweka’s 89th minute winner.
Last Time We Met
It was one win for each side in 2023-24 with Maidstone edging proceedings at the Gallagher Stadium 2-1. A fortunate own goal was the difference between the two teams with Tyler Harvey netting for City.
And in the return fixture, which took place at Meadow Park, Gloucester, Truro delivered arguably their best showing of the season to win 3-1 as Harvey bagged a brace and the City tally was completed by Dan Sullivan (pictured above) – in his final appearance for City.

City’s assistant boss Stewart Yetton has been speaking to the club’s media team:
It will be a very difficult challenge because they are a top side. They were one of the best teams we came up against last season and they are especially strong at home.
We are fully expecting a tough game and a difficult day at the office
On their artificial pitch, Maidstone have a really good record and when we played them (at the Gallagher Stadium) we never got going.
