John Askey has been named the National League South’s Manager of the Week by title sponsors Vanarama.

The 59-year-old led City to a magnificent 1-0 win over league leaders Hemel Hempstead Town at the TCS on Saturday.

Before the match, Hemel had not lost a game all season and they had not shipped any goals on their travels.

However, their unbeaten run and clean sheet away from home was ended by a dominant home display, with Jaze Kabia’s 13th minute strike the all-important, match winning goal.
