Young City starlets Rhys Simmonds and Liam Higgins will take part in the final regional England Schools trials tomorrow (Sunday).
If successful, the pair will make the England squad for the Schools’ Association Football International Board (SAFIB) Centenary Shield, which is contested by the home nations.
England’s game against Northern Ireland is being hosted by Truro City, with that game taking place at the TCS on Friday, March 14 2025.
“As the club grows any young lads should see Truro as the place to come,” Tinners boss John Askey told trurocity.co.uk
“I’ve seen both lads play and they have trained with the first team. They have good attitudes and attributes as well so it will be interesting over the next few years to see how they do.
“They are playing in men’s football at 16 and come next summer, hopefully they can start playing more of a part with the first team.”
