Truro City is delighted to announce a community sponsorship with the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce (CCOC).
This exciting new partnership sees the CCOC sponsor Truro City’s new club branded lager called ‘The Business’, which is being brewed by Molson Coors.
The Business will only be available in the Tinners’ Fan Zone, from Saturday’s Vanarama National League South game at home to Aveley.
Supporters at the Truro City Stadium will also be able to consume The Business in the club’s newly launched reusable cups, as the Tinners, along with Wax Events, strive to make the ground free of single-use plastic.
The Chamber exists to inspire, connect and support businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of the Scilly. Since 1988, the CCOC has been an accredited Chamber of Commerce in the South West, committed to championing local businesses regardless of their size or sector.
They believe in the power of networking, knowledge-sharing, and a shared mission to promote the success of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly within a global community.
The Chamber’s focus is on creating a supportive network for Cornish businesses, facilitating connections and providing a platform for growth.
“I am delighted to announce this partnership with our friends at Cornwall Chamber of Commerce,” enthused Truro City’s head of commercial and operations Rob Butland.
“It’s befitting that two organisations who stand for and champion the prosperity of Cornwall are working together in such a significant way – bringing reusable cups to the TCS making for a more environmentally friendly matchday experience, is just one example of this.
“Since our return home to the city, and the Duchy, our community has rallied to show its unwavering support for the club, and we can’t wait to raise a cup of The Business together with all supporters at TR4.”
Meanwhile, John Brown (pictured above), the chief executive for the CCOC, added: “Being part of our thriving community is critical to the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and so we are delighted to be proud sponsors of Truro City Football Club.
“Week in, week out, The Tinners do us proud, as do the thousands who show up, come rain or shine, to watch the boys put on a performance.
“Working with WAX, Sharps Brewery and the commercial team at Truro City, we’re delighted to raise a pint of ‘The Business’ in our new reusable cups and look forward to toasting further success at the end of the season.”
