City are on the road this coming Saturday as John Askey’s side make the near 600-mile round trip to Kent, with Tonbridge Angels the opponents.
The two teams met at the TCS back in October with Jaze Kabia’s stoppage time winner helping City to a 2-1 triumph after the spoils looked like they would be shared.
This will be City’s fourth trip to Longmead, with the Tinners yet to lower the Angels’ colours on home soil.
In the game between the two sides in Kent last season, Truro looked like they would settle a tight tussle thanks to Josh Hinds’ goal in the second half, profiting on a home defensive error.
This goal would turn out to be Hinds’ only goal in a City shirt after he joined the club during its hectic run of fixtures towards the back end of 2023-24.
Hinds left Truro at the season’s end and he now plys his trade north of the border with Scottish Championship side Queens Park.
After taking the lead, City were pegged back six minutes from time when Jamie Fielding levelled for Tonbridge and deep into stoppage time, Truro hearts were broken when Jordan Higgs scored the winner.
Longmead Stadium
Tonbridge moved to Longmead in 1980, although at first glance, the ground appears to be much older than it actually is.
The main stand pre-dates the new facility, with Tonbridge dismantling and then re-erecting the structure from the club’s old Angel Ground.
Certainly the introduction of an artificial pitch in recent years has helped a more modern feel to the stadium, but only whilst the game is taking place.
The main stand runs around three-quarters of the pitch and has a very low roof. There are supporting pillars and floodlight pylons in front meaning the view, whilst undercover and protected from the elements, isn’t unobstructed.

There are flat standing areas either side of the main stand and at both ends, there are small covered terraces which because of their shallow nature, help create a good atmosphere when fans of both teams are in voice.
Opposite the main stand is a mainly open, flat standing area, known as the clubhouse side. This houses the club buildings, television gantry and small directors box, which houses club officials from both teams.
Just like here at the TCS, the players’ dressing rooms are behind the goal, meaning teams enter the field of play from next to the South Stand.
Tonbridge have advised that no segregation will be enforced for Truro’s visit on Saturday.
