The Match
Truro City will be looking to keep their unbeaten home run in 2025 going when John Askey’s side host mid-table Farnborough this evening – 7.45pm.
The Tinners picked up a fine 3-1 win over Hampton & Richmond last time out to keep a tight grip on their play-off place, whilst putting daylight between the top seven and most of the chasing pack.
In a dominant showing, from first whistle to last, City took a deserved lead after 27 minutes when Tom Harrison headed home Connor Riley-Lowe’s free-kick.
And after the turnaround, Luke Jephcott, making his second Truro debut, scored a brilliant second, volleying home Jaze Kabia’s cross.
Irish striker Kabia then made the points safe when he converted from the spot after Alex Wall had hauled Harrison to the ground. The burly home striker was shown a straight red card for dissent after being booked for the challenge, meaning the Beavers would play out the final 15 minutes a man light.
But the hosts had the last word with substitute Alfie Williams breaking clear to drive past Dan Lavercombe.
