Truro City are delighted to reveal that the club’s new mascot Brian Chough, which will be seen for the first time at tomorrow’s home game against Salisbury.
After careful deliberation and consideration, the club chose the name based on fan suggestions which were collected at recent home games.
The mascot pays tribute to Cornwall and its heritage with Brian a Chough, an iconic symbol of the Duchy. Brian is a Chough with a difference though, as he’s also a tin miner, with this a nod towards City’s nickname, and a traditional Cornish industry, which began in the Bronze ages.
Brian is sponsored by Karn Geoservices Ltd. A geotechnical and environmental consultancy company based in Chacewater, Karn provide a complete solution for dealing with ground related rick.
Karn assess ground conditions to fulfil planning conditions and to advise developers, architects and engineers, of issues such as contaminated land and ground stability.
The company, although based on the outskirts of Truro, operate across the entire South West, and we thank them for their support in facilitating a move for Brian Chough, the club’s latest star signing.
