Regarded as one of Cornwall’s best ever central defenders, Harold Jeffries is another City legend to have also enjoyed huge success at Falmouth Town too.
Jefferies signed for Truro in 1957 and he attracted attention from a number of league clubs, with trials at Tottenham, Chelsea and Bristol Rovers.
He played in two of City’s finest cup wins over Falmouth Town – the South Western League Cup in 1960 and Cornwall Senior Cup in 1967.
Jefferies was something of a sporting all-rounder, playing cricket for Falmouth and he was a member of Penryn Bowls Club. He was a keen golfer too, becoming Falmouth Golf Club’s youngest ever captain.
After battling long-term illness, Harold sadly passed away in November 2022. Along with Basil Steer, he will become the second Hall of Fame member inducted posthumously.
Harold will be formally and posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame before the Good Friday game against Torquay United.
