Without the intervention of Peter Masters and fellow local businessman Pep Perryman, there might not be any football to watch at the Truro City Stadium.

With the club in administration and facing a very uncertain future, in 2012, Masters and Perryman rescued the club, took it out of administration and despite mixed results initially, the good times returned to Treyew Road.

In the 2014-15 season, City were promoted to National League South level after a play-off win over St Neots Town.

In the next three years, Truro reached the Step Two play offs twice and for the very first time, played in the first round of the FA Cup.

Backed by over 1000 travelling Tinners, City faced former Premier League side Charlton Athletic and a brave showing, with Tyler Harvey scoring a fine header, resulted in a 3-1 loss.

Masters and Perryman relinquished control of City in 2019, but along with his wife Kim, Peter is a regular at the Truro City Stadium.

Peter will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame before the Good Friday game against Torquay United.
