Truro City are back on the road again this evening at Brackley Town in the Enterprise National League – 7.45pm.

This will be Truro’s third away trip to St James Park, with the side’s previous two encounters – both in the Southern League between 2009 and 20011 – ending in defeat.

Both those previous matches were high scoring affairs with the Saints prevailing 4-3 in 2009-10 and 3-2 during the following campaign, as City were crowned Southern League champions at the second attempt.

The Stadium

St James Park has a capacity of just over 4,000 and is of similar size to our own Truro City Stadium.

Over the years the ground has been improved upon with covered facilities on all four sides.

In front of the social club ‘The Venue’ there is a small seared area, which is situated slightly off centre from the halfway line.

The Cricket Club End, because of its close proximity to the local cricket pitch, is a mainly open terrace with one area of cover. This is usually the away fans’ section when segregation is in operation. However, Brackley have informed Truro City that this fixture will NOT be segregated.

Opposite the Cricket Club End is the South End, with a small seated stand and open terracing.

The ground is completed by the facilities situated facing the social club side. For previous Truro City visits, this was just a pathway and standing. But there are now tow seated stands positioned to the left and right of the halfway line, with the dugouts on this side of the ground too. The facilities are positioned so not to obstruct the view of the game because of the dugouts.

Parking

Limited parking is available at the ground costing £3.50. Supporters are advised that car parking is allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Street parking is available in residential areas surrounding the ground, but travelling Tinners are requested to respect local residents if using these areas, to park courteously and responsibly.

Segregation

No segregation will be in place for this fixture.

Although the Brackley ticketing website states that it will be in place, Truro City have received an update from Brackley in which they state that segregation will not be in place for this fixture.

Turnstiles for this evening’s fixture will open at 6.00pm.
