Truro City will face a rematch of their 2007 FA Vase final triumph when they face AFC Totton next month, in the Emirates FA Cup’s fourth qualifying round.

The Tinners defeated Totton 3-1 to lift the FA Vase 18 years ago, with goals from Kevin Wills (2) and Joe Broad helping the side, then managed by Dave Leonard, become the first from Cornwall to lift a trophy at Wembley.

Since then, the sides have met three times with the score in each being 3-2. In the 2012/13 campaign, Totton lowered the colours of City in the FA Cup at the second qualifying round stage, in a game played at the Tinners’ former Treyew Road home.

And then in the following campaign, as both sides were in the Southern League Premier Division, Truro were victorious by the odd goal in five both times the two teams met.

The latest instalment of Truro City versus AFC Totton will take place over the weekend of Saturday, October 11, with an exact date and kick-off time to be announced in due course.

Ticket prices, once agreed between both clubs, will also be revealed in the coming days.
