Truro City or AFC Totton will face Macclesfield of Enterprise National League North in the first round proper of the Emirates FA Cup.

A fourth qualifying round replay tomorrow evening at the Truro City Stadium will decide who travels to Cheshire to face the club born from the ashes of Macclesfield Town who folded in 2020.

The previous incarnation of Macclesfield saw current Tinners boss John Askey both play and manage the side. Askey, with 679 appearances for the club, was their record appearance maker. His 155 goals makes the 60-year-old the fourth highest goalscorer too.

He famously led Macclesfield to the National League title in 2018, along with an FA Trophy final appearance 12 months earlier, with the side losing to York City, who Askey would manage some four years later.

Macclesfield versus AFC Totton or Truro City will take place over the weekend of Saturday, November 1.
