Truro City is delighted to announce the signing of Cole Deeming on a one-month loan from SkyBet Championship side West Bromwich Albion.

The left footed midfielder, 18, hails from Halesowen and joined the academy structure at the Hawthorns when he was just six.

A boyhood Baggies fan, he made his first team debut during a Carabao Cup tie against Fleetwood Town in August 2024, continuing his eye-catching progress through the ranks at the Midlands outfit.

Now a full-time professional with West Brom, his final season as a scholarship player paved the way for further progression in 2023/24. This saw Deeming, who was an under-18 regular, step up to the under-21s and the Premier League 2 competition, netting on his debut against Everton.

Last season, Deeming once again made appearances for both the Baggies’ under-18 and under-21 sides across a variety of competitions, which included the FA Youth Cup, PL2 and National League Cup.

He captained the under-18s to the last eight of the FA Youth Cup, while netting five goals for the under-21s, with the highlight being a brace in a 4-3 win over Arsenal in April of this year.

For this campaign, Deeming has regularly made the first team squad for West Brom in their Championship campaign, chalking up seven unused substitute appearances.
