Truro City are back on the road for the first time in a month tomorrow (Tuesday) evening when John Askey’s side travel to Farnborough.

Spencer Day’s side are the surprise early leaders of National League South ahead of this weekend’s fixtures and last term, they defeated City 3-2 at Cherrywood Road.

Aaron Kuhl’s first half penalty put Farnborough ahead before Ed Palmer levelled things up with a fine effort before half-time.

Ricky Holmes put the hosts in command 20 minutes from time, only for Adam Porter to restore parity again. As time ticked down, the spoils looked like they would be shared, but Hady Ghandour netted in the dying embers to give Farnborough all three points.

Cherrywood Road

The ground is a mix of old and new with the smart looking Prospect Road End dominating the overall appearance of Cherrywood Road. A smart looking, single tiered stand, it is totally covered and free from obstructions.

Opposite is the Moor Road End, a shallow terrace which is covered, although the roof is supported by pillars.

It’s a similar arrangement in the John O’Hara East Stand which is also covered and part seated and part standing.

The main stand is all seated housing the dressing rooms and hospitality suites. However, not all the seats are under cover and are exposed to the elements. Fans can stand to the right of the main stand on an uncovered terrace whilst to the left is another small covered terrace, known as the Chairman’s Mound.

There won’t be any segregation when Truro visit on Tuesday, meaning supporters can sit or stand in any part of the ground.
