City face a 580-mile round trip to Boreham Wood tomorrow (Tuesday) for a first meeting with the Hertfordshire outfit in close to 12 years.

This game was originally scheduled for October 12, but owing to Wood’s involvement in the Emirates FA Cup, it was postponed and rearranged for exactly one month later.

Truro will be hoping to make it nine games unbeaten in National League South this term, whilst also keeping the side’s fine form on the road – City have lost just once away from the TCS so far in 2024-25.

Also, if results go the way of John Askey’s side elsewhere in the division, City could top the pile going into this weekend’s Isuzu FA Trophy ties with a positive Hertfordshire yield.

The Ground

Meadow Park has an overall capacity of 5,000, which caters adequately for Boreham Wood’s crowds, which have dropped from an average of close to 1300 when the side were in Step One, to just under 750 so far this term.

Boreham Wood have advised that no segregation will be in place for City’s visit.

The ground itself has three sides which are covered, with a mixture of seats and standing.

The West Stand was opening by former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in 2014 and is all seated, with no obstructions, and runs the full length of the pitch.

Opposite is the slightly smaller seated main stand. It can hold 500 fans, all seated, with no obstructions.

At one end of the ground, there is covered terracing. This stand was completed in 2019 and is called the North Bank.

The South Stand is at the opposite end and is a mix of terracing and a flat standing area.
