Truro City, in partnership with Truro School, were honoured to run the National League Primary Schools tournament earlier this week.

The min festival, held over two days, was attended by 128 children, with 16 schools from across the Duchy competing to represent Truro City in a regional tournament, which will take place in winter 2025.

During the tournament, there was an amazing display of footballing talent, with some nail-biting finishes to matches, which were attended by members of Truro City’s first team squad.

“Some of the strikers were so good, I was starting to worry about my place next week against Maidstone United,” striker Jaze Kabia told trurocity.co.uk. “The standard of football was excellent and every player displayed exemplary behaviour in every game.”

St Breock Primary School from near Wadebridge were the winners of the mixed under-11 tournament while Truro based Archbishop Benson Primary School took the girls under-11 honours.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Truro School for hosting the event and Ray Brown, who organised the tournaments and arranged the referees.

Also, thanks to Q-Brands+, who kindly supplied the winning teams with Kappa branded Truro City kit for the regional tournament.
