Truro City is delighted to announce the loan signing of defender Shaun Donnellan from Scottish Premiership side Livingston, subject to international clearance.

The 28-year-old, who has been capped at under-19 and under-21 level by the Republic of Ireland, joins the Tinners until January 1, 2026.

Born in London, Donnellan came through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion and enjoyed loan spells with Worcester, Stevenage, Dagenham & Redbridge and Walsall.

Whilst at the Bescot Stadium, Donnellan represented the Saddlers in League 1 and after his temporary switch was ended in early January 2019, moved to Yeovil Town on a permanent deal.

After a year with Yeovil, Donellan signed for Maidstone United for the second half of 2019-20 before moving to Woking, for the next campaign, which was disrupted by the covid-19 pandemic.

At the beginning of the following campaign, Donnellan joined Maidenhead United and he would remain with the Berkshire outfit for two seasons.

It was back to the West Country once more and Torquay United ahead of 2022-23 and after becoming a mainstay at Plainmoor, moved north of the border.

Livingston would be Donnellan’s destination, inking a pre-contract agreement to join the West Lothian’s on January 1, 2024.

And now, after 18 months in Scotland, Donnellan returns to the National League, a division he has played in close to 150 times previously.
