Truro City resume their pre-season campaign with a trip to Tiverton Town, who will undoubtedly provide John Askey’s side with their toughest friendly opposition to date this summer.
The Yellows, who are managed by one-time City boss Leigh Robinson, ply their trade in the Southern League Premier Division – Step Three, just one league below the Tinners.
City have been left kicking their collective heels for two weeks now after last Saturday’s scheduled friendly against Tavistock was called off owing to a waterlogged pitch at Langsford Park.
Truro have moved to fill the void left by this cancellation by arranging a match against local rivals Falmouth Town for this coming Tuesday, July 29. The game, for the Aubrey Wilkes Trophy, will take place at Bickland Park – 7.45pm.
