A new 26×12 metre marquee will house the stadium fan zone, with a glass front to allow spectators a great view of the pitch from under shelter.
Within the marquee there will be a large 12 metre bar serving a whole host of Cornish and fan favourite beers.
The fan zone marquee will have TVs to show televised football as well as a great sound system to create a vibrant atmosphere.
Just outside the fan zone, WAX is currently building a beer/gin garden to make the most of the many summer and early autumn games at the ground.
During the season, fans will see the drinks offering grow with additional bars being added around the ground, along with a family friendly zone behind the Eden Hot Tubs North Stand.
For food, WAX will have an offering at every price point. From freshly cooked Cornish Pasties to home-made curries and gourmet burgers.
WAX Events will also be making the most of the new stadium by putting on a whole host of non-match day events.
Although this concept is still very much at the planning stage, ideas include ocktober fests, garden parties, open air cinemas, live music events and open-air sporting events such as boxing.
WAX Group runs a range of business in Cornwall from its iconic WAX bar in Watergate Bay to its state-of-the-art WAX Gym in Newquay. Its events company is growing fast with over 50 events planned in 2024 ranging from tough mudder style obstacle course races, to Cornwall’s largest fireworks display.
“We are delighted to welcome Wax as the club’s official food and drink partner at our brand-new stadium,” Rob Butland, Truro City’s head of operations, said.
“It is clear to us that they have a mission to deliver exciting events in Cornwall and they will bring this enthusiasm and expertise to our matchdays.
“Wax will provide and exciting environment for our fans to enjoy Truro City matchdays and they will be well catered for.
“As a club, we are looking forward to working with Wax, tremendously and we would like to place on record our thanks to Sam Karkeek and his entire team for their tireless efforts in recent weeks and months, to bring this partnership to fruition.”
Meanwhile, Sam Cotton, Wax Events Company’s cief operating officer, added: “We are so excited to be working with Truro City on this long-term project. As soon as we saw the stadium we knew we had to be involved. The potential is endless and the long-term vision for the ground will put the club on the wider sporting map.
“Our number one priority is to provide great Cornish food and drink to the thousands of Truro City fans.
“Our hope is that we can help create an atmosphere and offering which appeals to all, from the die-hard season ticket holder, to female followers new to the team and children who simply love the beautiful game of football.
“We are investing heavily in food and beverage infrastructure in the ground with the ambition to create the best match day experience in the league.
“Much like building a successful football team, it won’t all happen overnight, but during this upcoming season expect to see the offering for the fans taken to the next level.”
