Biography

Scott Burgess joined Truro City in September 2024 on non-contract terms.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been without a club since leaving York City in the summer and previously, he has gained EFL experience with Bury and Port Vale.

Burgess is no stranger to current Tinners boss Askey having made 31 appearances for Macclesfield Town in 2017-18, on loan from Bury.

Askey was in charge of the Silkmen at the time and a year later, took Burgess to Port Vale after he swapped Moss Rose for the Potteries.

After leaving Port Vale, Burgess was part of the Grimsby Town side which gained their Football League place again during 2021-22.

He left Blundell Park and reunited with Askey at York and last season, spent time on loan at Kidderminster Harriers.
