Will Dean joined the club on a permanent basis in 2021 after his release from Exeter City.
He progressed through the Grecians’ academy set-up and had his first taste of senior football with City, on loan, during the 2019-20 campaign.
Despite that term being cut short by the covid-19 pandemic, Dean was voted Players’ Player of the Year.
Returning to Exeter, Dean made his senior debut for the Devonians in a 2-2 draw with Salford City in September 2020. More loan experience followed that season when Dean, who was born in Hedge End, made a temporary switch to Bath City.
And then, at the conclusion of 20-21, Dean left Exeter and joined Truro, where he has been a mainstay of the Tinners’ side ever since.
Playing as both a midfielder and defender last season, Dean was a consistent presence in the team, iconically featuring in the title clincher against St Albans City, complete with a white head band after suffering a head gash in the season’s penultimate fixture at Weston-super-Mare.
