The Match
City make the midweek trip to Wiltshire, facing off against Chippenham Town, as John Askey’s side search for a 10th game unbeaten.
The Tinners are also chasing a fourth consecutive win after impressive recent triumphs over Chesham United (4-1), Boreham Wood (2-1) and Welling United (3-2).
The victory over Welling was City’s most recent outing with victory keeping the side in third, while the Wings were plunged into the drop zone.
Connor Riley-Lowe, with his third consecutive Saturday goal, put City ahead less than 90 seconds in but 13 minutes shy of the interval, Deon Moore restored parity for the Kent outfit.
But just like the return fixture at Park View Road back in November, the game hinged on a red card for Welling captain Dave Winfield.
The veteran defender was booked during the opening stanza and then, after needlessly wrestling Tyler Harvey to the ground, was shown a second yellow card by referee Said Ouchene, after 52 minutes.
Truro took a while to capitalise on their numerical advantage, but did so 20 minutes from time when Tyler Harvey powered home Will Dean’s precise cross.
And Harvey seemingly wrapped up the win with his 19th of the season as time ticked down, with an emphatic finish from the edge of the box.
Credit to Welling, who never raised the white flag, scoring a consolation in the dying embers through on loan Coventry defender Riccardo Di Trolio.

In Opposition
Chippenham are entrenched in National League South’s mid-table, currently occupying 14th place, with 49 points gained from 37 games played.
Gary Horgan’s charges have never been higher than 11th place in the table, with inconsistency the Bluebirds’ Achilles heel.
The side have picked up just two wins from their past six games, over Slough Town and Chesham United respectively.
Last time out, Chippenham travelled to Eastbourne Borough and were defeated 4-1, as Sports kept their unbeaten home record very much intact. Chippenham’s last match at home came seven days ago when they faced another of the promotion contenders in the chap of Torquay United.
The Gulls were 3-1 winners to keep a firm grasp on their play-off place, despite Weston-super-Mare breathing down the collective necks of the top seven teams.

Last Time We Met
A stadium record crowd of 2,818 on Bonfire Night saw City and the Bluebirds share the spoils at the TCS.
Matt McClure’s 84th minute penalty had seemingly won the game for Chippenham but Truro, and Billy Palfrey chiefly, had other ideas with the hosts scoring to level at 1-1 deep into stoppage time.
